I don’t recall who quoted that the 80’s would make the 60’s look like the 50’s, and whether it’s your view that it did happen or not, apparently we still can’t get enough of that decade.  That’s why many games continuously pop up challenging our knowledge of that era, and the latest to do so is The Bodacious 80’s Challenge.

In this latest trivia game for mobile, you get to once again tackle the facts and information from that era of designer jeans, neon pastels and pointy shoes.  With over 1500 questions in more than 100 topic categories like Fads, Movies, Sports and, of course, Music, there’s so much to go through here that you’ll probably end up running to your closet to take out that orange leather jacket with zippers and try to relive your Saturday nights at TechNoir or something.

Selecting your topic of choice, a group of questions is sent your way to answer, but unlike most titles that make them multiple choice, a number of times you also have to match answers from lists such as what band played what song or what enemies where featured in the appropriate video game.  The number of correct answers counts up points for your total, which in turn also uncover images in a background.

The deal with this is that once the entire image has been uncovered, a Bonus Round begins that heartily increases your point totals.  When the entire round is over, the totals are uploaded to a leaderboard, but if you collect enough points, you can also unlock some nice prizes such as downloadable ringtones and wallpapers.  These are also another nice incentive to keep you playing more.

Another good thing about The Bodacious 80’s Challenge is that it includes top 50 Billboard Hits from the 80’s like Caribbean Queen, by Billy Ocean, Mickey by Tony Basil and Heart and Soul by Huey Lewis and the News.  Not that I’m particularly fond of these personally, but hey, somebody is and they certainly will get a kick out of them.  So if you’re one of those that still loves all things 80’s and want to test your knowledge while winning some stuff, this is the perfect mobile trivia game for you.
