ER Rush is the new casual game that allows you to play doctor in a hectic emergency room.  Now this isn’t the first title to come along with this idea, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t fun as well..

As the new doctor on duty, you must successfully diagnose, treat, and discharge patients suffering from a variety of strange conditions.  Broken limbs, viruses, rashes and other ailments are the norm but you’ll also lay witness to crazy maladies such as vampirism, spiritual possessions, and being caught on fire, just to name a few.  It’s all in a days work and if you’re successful, expect to be well rewarded for your service.

In each level there’s a specific number of beds to attend to and as the patients walk in, you need to direct them correctly with the press of the corresponding keypad button.  Once in bed, you are then ready to diagnose them and fill out the necessary prescription.  Some patients need immediate attention while others are more grumpy than anything, but it’s up to you to determine what’s the best course of action.  All isn’t quite so peachy though because in a number of instances some ailments can be transmitted to other patients, such as being caught on fire or a sickly virus, and as these spread, your job becomes even more hectic.  It not only slows down the patient’s time to recovery, but backs up your entire room costing you valuable time.

To make it past the level, a certain score must be attained which means that you must run through the patients as quickly as possible.  Failing to do so, or allowing a patient to die by not attending quickly enough, will set you back on your career path.  Of course, if you are successful, you are promoted to bigger hospitals with different ailments and better equipment.

The game has a number of functions that are all easily handled and commands that can be “stacked” so that the actions almost become automatic as long as you stay ahead.  It also features very inviting graphics and a number of humorous indicators that keep you entertained.

Games of this type such as Diner Dash and Cake Mania are lots of fun, therefore ER Rush certainly follows suit.  It’s very easy to pick up and play but very difficult to put down.  One of the best points of the game is the employment of real strategy due to the inclusion of transmittable ailments.  This really makes the game more difficult to get through than by just rolling through the patients.  It’s lots of fun and one title you should certainly consider for your mobile enjoyment.
