PlayPhone and Billing Revolution today announced a partnership to bring PlayPhone’s mobile entertainment to various carriers using Billing Revolution’s single-click technology. As a result, mobile phone subscribers through various wireless carriers will soon be able to access off-deck content with the added ease and convenience of credit card information input once, and have all future purchases single-click enabled.
“Using Billing Revolution’s single-click technology, carrier customers who want to access our fun content will be able to do so without having to go through the painstaking process of entering credit card information each and every time,” said Ron Czerny, founder and chief executive officer at PlayPhone. “We feel this is a major step in extending our mobile product inventory to an even broader audience base and streamlining the purchase experience for our customers.”
“Our partnership with PlayPhone represents a major shift in the way consumers will pay for goods and services in the future,” said Michael Dulong, senior vice president of business development at Billing Revolution. “By adding our single-click billing and payment platform, PlayPhone not only brings a huge value incentive and improved customer experience to mobile shoppers, but also adds a much needed CRM solution for carriers who can realize significant value in the form of alternative payment methods that enable off-deck purchase transactions.”
PlayPhone gives consumers access to a new and exclusive media catalog spanning audio, video and gaming content from all four major music labels and their artists, game publishers and media companies such as SonyBMG, EMI, Disney, Vivendi, and Sony Pictures Entertainment, as well as a broad portfolio of text subscriptions. Billing Revolution’s proprietary technology helps merchants sell unused product in their inventory, for both digital and physical goods, and helps streamline fulfillment orders for merchants as well as the off-deck discovery process for consumers.
