Having solidified its place amongst the top 10 highest earning movies of all time, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith continues to bring loads of entertainment to wireless phones. The latest game released from the Star Wars mobile content suite is Battle Above Coruscant.

Star Wars: Battle Above Coruscant is a space shooter that puts you in the first epic action sequence from Revenge of the Sith. The capital of the Republic is under attack and the skies above Coruscant are swarming with deadly fighters from the Separatist Forces. As Anakin Skywalker, you must pilot your ship through six levels of shoot-em-up action and get to the starship that imprisons Chancellor Palpatine.

Each level provides different objectives and dangers to keep the action intense. These include escort missions, destruction runs and protective stances. For example, one mission has you avoiding lock-on missiles while protecting an incapacitated Obi-Wan from Buzz Droids. In another, a Banking Clan cruiser must be destroyed by attacking key areas and weapon systems. Power-ups will be dropped by destroyed ships and include rapid-fire, shields, smart bombs and health.

The pacing is intense and the environment envelopes you in the middle of a large-scale battle with ships and lasers flying everywhere. You have three fighters to complete the mission and each time one is destroyed, you must return to the start of the level. While difficulty remains standard for a shooter, Jedi mode should only be undertaken if the Force is with you.

The detail to the environment is enormous with battles ensuing in the background as you concentrate on your own objective and survival. This provides a deep look to the game that greatly absorbs all of the action. Wonderfully scored theme music plays throughout the entire game and amps the excitement to another level. The controls also work well and allow you to choose between manual and auto-fire.

Battle Above Coruscant is a remarkable looking shooter. The six levels can get lengthy and the diversity of missions will keep your interest. Full of flash and action, it is at home in the Star Wars universe.
