Your World Games today announced the release of the first in an ongoing series of downloadable content for their mobile RPG The Shroud. The brand new episodes expand the game with five new quests in addition to two new mine trials. Additional content will be made available on a regular basis.
As our hero, Taro, you must restore your family’s farm to its former glory. Recently destroyed by an evil aura called the Shroud, cultivating your fields and fighting invaders is the only way to learn what happened to your parents. The new quests will help Taro discover why the Shroud chose his family to harm, and the two new mine entrances will also provide clues to where your parents might be.
 
“It was always our intention for The Shroud to continually evolve,” said Robert Sprogis, Vice President of Your World Games. “We’ve taken a modular approach to development, as the in-game world is essentially limitless.”
 
The long awaited RPG launched in July on major carriers, incorporating features like location-based gameplay, online challenges, and downloadable items. The Shroud is true to its goal, bringing a genuinely immersive playing experience right into your mobile phone.
