GAMEVIL USA announced today the launch of HandyGames’ blockbuster strategy title Townsmen 4, the fourth in the series of successful sim/strategy series.
In this new Townsmen, users will find themselves in a small monastery, surrounded by pagan settlements and hostile monastic orders. Besides brewing and baking bread, players must try to convert as many settlers into monks that will work for them. By recruiting new monks and expanding the settlement, players must try to bring the monastery to wealth and prestige.
Townsmen 4 is a SIM style game where not only strategy is important but users must also be able to micro-manage ever aspect of the town. The main objective of the game is to acquire the necessary respect of the fellow settlers in town. Then by economizing wisely with the given resources, players must be able to maintain and provide the necessary elements for the settlement to flourish.
There are several buildings and structures that must be built, such as farms, bakery, and brewery which provide food for the villagers. However, each structure also has an upkeep that must be met to continue the production of the necessary goods. In order to maintain a steady upkeep, users must recruit as many monks that will work for the monastery. Failure to do so will result in the structure shutting down, seizing production of the certain good. The goal is to manage the settlement and expand further until all land is conquered.
